Our Toria T-shirt is made from a blend of organic cotton and modal in our partner workshop in China, with whom we have been working for 10 years. Together, we pursue high ambitions for the eco-responsibility of our products.
Modal® (similar to Tencel® and Lyocell®) is an eco-friendly fiber created from wood pulp (beech), which has a low environmental impact because it is produced in a closed loop where materials are constantly recycled, purified, and reused. This man-made ecological fiber is a more environmentally friendly substitute for viscose.
We use organic cotton because its cultivation is more ecological and ethical. From seed to harvest, organic cotton is grown without pesticides, insecticides, chemical fertilizers, or GMOs. Its cultivation consumes less water than conventional cotton.
