ChromeFree leather is bovine leather that is tanned without using chrome, heavy metals or dangerous acids. It is supple and light. Sourcing from farms located in southern Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul), it undergoes an innovative tanning process where no chrome, heavy metals, or dangerous acids are used. By simplifying the tanning steps, chemical and energy use are limited, and water use is reduced by about 40% and salt use by 80%. After tanning, the water is recyclable.
